Statement
Current Body of Work: Threshold of Collapse
This body of work traces a movement from tension to stillness.
Through layered gestures and collapsing structures, the paintings shift from density and pressure toward moments of suspension and quiet.
The process is not linear, but accumulative — where intensity dissolves into form, and form into silence.

Bio
Nicole is an abstract artist exploring intensity through gesture and material. She is a Greek painter working in gestural abstraction.
Her work unfolds through gesture, material, and the accumulation of marks. Her practice navigates a shifting territory between intensity and stillness, where forms emerge, collapse, and reconfigure.
Working through layered processes, she constructs dense, unstable surfaces that gradually open into moments of suspension and quiet. The paintings do not follow a linear progression, but evolve through a continuous negotiation between control and release.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including presentations in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, India, and the United States.
She studied Fine Arts in Greece and continued her postgraduate studies at the University of Düsseldorf, Germany, supported by a Bosch scholarship.
